What to expect in a session.
Before we start your treatment we will go through a full consultation, and discuss any contraindications and your treatment plan which will be tailored specifically to you. You will remain fully clothed and treated in a sitting position. (you may lay down if you prefer). Ear acupuncture will be treated in one ear only using 5 or 6 needles for your treatment. As the needles are inserted gently you may feel a little sting but once in clients often experience a warm sensation in the ear, they often forget that the needles are in.
Your treatment will last anywhere between 20 – 45 minutes.
All needles are in date and are kept in sterile packs, each needle is used once then disposed of safely in a sharps bin.
After your treatment finishes you will be given aftercare advice verbally and through your email.
Auricular acupuncture can be given as a one off treatment however if there is something you are wanting support with a course of 6 weekly sessions is advised .
If you are having Ear needles incorporated within kore therapy you will be laid down for your treatment. The two therapies work very well together so to really boost your healing we would recommend this.
